The mass media of the internet, film, television, newspapers and advertising play a significant part in our daily lives. This is a challenging subject where you will look critically and analytically at online media, magazines, institutions, audiences, television drama and advertising marketing. You will investigate media industries, popular culture and digital technologies to understand how television, film, journalism and online media inform, entertain and influence us. You will have a Personal Coach who supports and guides you through the course. You will meet with your coach for group meetings and for personal one to one meetings on a regular basis.

A key distinguishing feature of the college is our links with employers and the ways in which we incorporate this into your learning. All students at FES have a work preparation course as part of their full time programme.

Students are encouraged to organise their own work experience, set up an in-house business or work with their Personal Coach to secure a placement at one of our employer partners. Students have the unique opportunity to work alongside our partners, gaining valuable experience and receiving training with interviews for future work placements.
